I have a pelham it doesn't have little semi-circle rings on it where your supposed to attach lip straps - i don't even know if you are supposed to put it on this particular bit or if I'm being incredibly stupid and missing something blatantly obvious . But i really can't find anywhere to attach it - just hope i'm not penalized for not wearing one at shows! Its a bomber bit and none of their pelhams seem to have anywhere or them to attach to.
Thanks in advance :D

I can't see anywhere to fit a lip strap on that type of pelham. You need the fly rings on the shank. You're not being stupid - it won't fit on this bit. Looking at the photos on the bit bank none of the bomber bits have fly rings. They're not alone in that either - some NS ones don't seem to either. If you need a lip strap you're going to have to switch makes of pelham I'm afraid. if you don't it is one less fitting to have to get the slobber out of!

It helps stop the horse from mouthing at the shank of a longer bit (might be why Bombers don't have an attachment point - the shanks look shorter) It also stops the curb chain from moving about too much.
