Stupid question alert, best way to muck out…

So my boy has always been grass livery but we have now moved so he is currently in during the day and out at night. I have mats and went for wood pellets with hunters shavings on top.

how often do you fully muck out ? How long do you leave pellets down ? Is it easier to leave them rather than sweeping them back to air?

he is rather wet so feel like every other day I’m taking quite a lot out !

If you have wood pellets underneath they don’t need to be removed until they look red on top. Just remove poo, tidy shavings and leave alone.

The trick with pellets is to put a decent bed down, soaked pellets, then you can skip out until the wee rises to the top. I muck out fully every other week, just pulling a little extra across his wee patch each day
