How he has survived major injury overnight lord knows...he decided to get himself trapped between the post and rail and the houses which overlook our stables 6 foot garden fence...hence giving himself a two foot gap which he has managed to turn around in  he has pottered up and down god knows how many times...he somehow has pulled top rail off (half his main missing:() popped over the lower rail and couldnt get back...so rescued him this morn had to knock half my fence down  fortunatly he has been a calm boy and just has a few nicks from his hooves,a scrape on his shoulder, and a nick above his eye (very lucky) and a mother who nearly had heart failiure when she saw where he was :eek::eek: just hope he's not too sore or any underlying injuries when I go up tomorrow...seemed fine tonight trotted out no problems :)

Flaming stupid foals eh? My foalio managed to break his fetlock within 4 weeks of coming to live with me. Luckily with boxrest he came sound :)

Fingers crossed that all is still ok in the morning :)

They do try their best to cause us heart failure don't they?

Strangely the 2yr old filly at my share's owners' is the most sensible of the lot i think! Went up yesterday to find all manner of choas. One of the mares has been away for a month at stud, and now she's back all hell seems to have broken loose. Found the old mare slightly lame, and my share gelding with a missing shoe and cut back leg. The mare who has been away was actually stalking her previous best mate and causing havoc. Said best mate was also stressing and barging about with me.

Keeps life interesting though doesn't it? And blood pressure high :D

hope there's nothing serious wrong, and hope he learns his lesson now!!

It's not just the babies that end up in trouble! New pony mare got herself wedged between our dry stone wall and next doors barbed wire fence, just room for a plump 14hh, no room to turn round, had to be backed up to where she had knocked the wall down to ge through. No injury but not pleased with us! :D

errrmm life interesting :eek: :D yep probably a good job he is a relatively calm boy..or I really think he could have really harmed himself...lil pony looked quite bemused by it....sudocreme do they do that with added brains??

Yer mean I could have a whole life of numptyness :o I'd put it down to him being young and stupid  :D glad your mare escaped ok the look of relief on his face was amazing ;)

She looked relieved too, but nearly gave us heart attacks as she limped up the field, she must have given herself a 'dead leg' by knocking it on the wall, was sound as a pound seconds later, but only after we had palpitations! :D

Well today he is fine!!! still a bit sore where hes obviously tried to pull his own mane but thankfully fine he's also due a trim so I'm sure the state of his hooves will also be cleared up :) blimmin young uns
