Wondering if anyone can help. My friend has asked me to write a letter to the hunt secretary on behalf of her boyfriend. He wants to subscribe to the hunt. Everyone has to write a letter if they want to subscribe.
He lives in Belgium but comes over quite often, he also hunts in Belgium and adores hunting and thinks that Irish and English hunting is superb.
Any ideas people? I am a bit stuck.......
 
Yeah it's the done thing over here!!! You have to write a letter and then the hunt have a meeting in September, then they decide whether you are allowed to join or not. It's because the country tends to be small and they don't want a massive influx of people.
It might be different in other parts of the country with bigger lands and more space! I have also just gotten some more info on what the hunt sec thinks of my friend and I am a bit worried about this but Hunt Sec is quite elderly and we think she might be getting a bit confused.......

Dear Hunt Sec

I would very much like to become a subscriber of the ***** Hunt Club. I have a huge interest in hunting and would like to spend more time over in Ireland this year. I would be more than happy to make myself available for gate days and any other events the hunt would be holding.

Has your friends OH hunted with them before? can he say that he's enjoyed the days he's had previously and would like to see more of the country and get to know the people better?

Yes he came over and hunted with us 3 times this year and everyone likes him!!! My friend is very sociable and everybody likes her too!! I was talking to someone who is on the committee and he didn't think it would be a problem as everyone likes this guy and my friend!
