hi

for the past forever years I have pretty much lived in Musto snug jods AROUND THE HOUSE
as they were practical, warm, non-heating and remarkably long lasting
- plus the stretch fabric means they actually accomodate my exceptionally long legs (we all have our crosses to bear !! ;) )

however I have been looking to buy some replacements on and off for several months now and there appears to be a very limited set of colours (Mr Ford would approve) and sizes available
PLUS I understand that they are now manufactured by a different supplier
and are a frankly inferior (though expensive) product to my 'old faithfuls'

so dear H&H forum combined wisdom/knowledge/experience...

has anyone found a decent substitute - and if so please share xxx

Don't try ariat...same price but thinner material and didn't last as long. Love mine though they are not the most flattering of jodpurs!

I too have long legs and I like my kerrits, also practical and warm and several different style options, no loop under the foot to pull them down either!

Definitely try the Kerrits, I have the microcord and channel rib pocket versions but they do a warm fleecy type as well which I haven't tried.
Downside is, they're hard to get hold of in UK, however I found an eBay seller suekhorses that will post US first class which is a quarter of the price for shipping and very quick (I.e a week) so I recently got two pairs for £113 including p&p and as they were a "Gift" and under the threshold for vat *cough* I didn't get stung for customs fees either!

Is there any advice on the sizing of kerritts v must?

(another person who has lived in snugs for many years!)

I'd say personally I've found the sizing about the same however the fit isn't as forgiving in the Kerrits as the Musto, but they do make bigger sizes than Musto do.
I do,wear the knee patch styles and not the full seat though, you may need a larger size if you wear full seat Kerrits?

i ordered direct from Kerrits. Half expecting to be told they can't ship to the UK and bracing myself for a duty bill but heigh ho.

quick google says irideon are polartec so same fabric in theory for just under £100 UK based (they do polyester ones cheaper)
the UK kerrits supplier seems to be around £70 - tip the colour you choose affects other choices eg size hugely
the US and AUS suppliers seem a lot cheaper but is there anyway of predicting duties (ebay help is useless)
