Just wanted to share - having lost all confidence previously, I am trialing a 15.1 hh piebald Irish coblet mare and at only 5, she has ridden out the last 3 days in high winds, not spooked, trotted past motorbikes and been a very good girl. She's from a local 'dealer' who gives a one month exchange on the horse if it is not as described.

Just goes to show there are some good horses around, I never ever thought I'd end up with a horse like this one but she has been good as gold and my confidence is on the up, at last!

Pointless post really, I'd love to put a picture up but no idea how to!

Has anyone else had good experiences to cheer us all up what with the rotten cold weather?

That's fantastic news. So pleased that you have found such a lovely horse. Good luck with her and look forward to seeing a picture :)

brilliant good for you. Enjoy yourselves, but do be aware that sometimes after a horse settles in to a new environment it can get a bit more confidence and test the boundaries a bit - sounds like your mare is a good sort at heart and if this happens am sure you will work through it.

She sounds lovely and I have bought from dealers before with no issues, although I have heard of some horror stories.

I always use photobucket to post a piccie - just copy and post the IMG code ( and wait for some people to moan about the size!!! )
