Originally we thought they were warts or poss nettle rash and were going to wait til they grew and tie them off with cat gut but, they are too small and spreading in small clusters on our yearling so wondered what effective treatment you can recommend? We have been advised to try Camrosa ointment, but am wondering if best just to get the vet out ? (Hv also posted this in veteri.) Thanks

Probably best to have accurate diagnosis
Likely to be juvenile warts which spontaneously resolve
Just boost immune system with a supplement unless vet says otherwise
I remember feeding seaweed to our youngster from Ireland and they just dropped off after a few weeks but may have been nothing to do with the seaweed.

if you need to boost the immune system aloe vera juice from holland and barratt is fab. I feed it at 200ml a day, in fact just finished 2 bottles for my lad as he seemed a bit low. worked a treat

That sounds like a papilloma virus where younsters usually under 3 get small warts on the muzzle, but are well in themselves. They usually self resolve and the warts drop off within 3 months. Immune system booster will do no harm. Have a word with your vet. Most left untreated as cause no harm, unless get a secondary infection. (uncommon)

Two youngster at yard had this they used Thuja in feed.
My yearling has just been on yard for 2 weeks and has got them.Funny didn't have them before he arrived so presuming it is due to stress of new yard etc.
