Such a dreadful test the judge wrote "Hard Luck"!!

Today I rode the worst dressage tests ever known to man!!

My mare was a complete nightmare and wouldn't settle at all. The whole way through both tests she neighed her head off, tugged, pulled, stuck her head in the air, wouldn't canter on the right leg - I was ready to give up halfway through the second, I didn't think my arms would last!

My 12 year old daughter got better scores than me in each - I will never live it down!

In the judges comments on Prelim 1 - the judge wrote, and I quote...

" Hard luck, not easy for you as tension caused rather a lot of resistance"!!

Well you just have to laugh don't you! - Later on in the day I broke my tooth on a carrot and cut my finger on a knife!

I am now on my second bottle of wine!

Do you think your mare is trying to tell you that stressage isn't her thing?

Oh dear Ravenwood, sounds like she was having a 'chesnut mare' day! I used to get similar comments and ones like 'tactfully ridden'! Luckily I haven't got a daughter!

I have had "horse obviously doesn't feel like doing dressage today"!

I beat my Dad, every time except occasionally in cones.
