Such a gorgeous day! What are you doing?

After a miserable rainy day yesterday it is sooo nice in South Warks today! The sun is out and there is a coolish breeze which is nice and refreshing!

What is everyone doing with their horses today? I put Tia out in her LW turnout - would have put her out naked but with the rain yesterday the ground is a little slippy and muddy underfoot so the rug will stop her coming in caked in mud. Am going to bring her in and ride in the school about 3ish as my hacking partner is teaching and cant join me :(

Horses is bumming about getting fat as she has hurt her back and I'm doing the sport relief run later :D so glad it's sunny, did not fancy running on a slippy field in the rain! :P

Had planned an afternoon session of gridwork with Lil and Belle.

Am actually banned from leaving the sofa as I'm all diseased and chesty. OH doesn't trust me not to overdo it if i go to the yard which is probably true.

Well, I think I've done the most exciting bit of my day! :D

I have been horse hunting for a loan horse. I had an ad forwarded to me by two different people, and I'd been out for a visit (non-riding visit) to the yard he's at. Then I wanted my RI to come and see with me but as the owners don't have a school, the owners kindly offered to bring him to me to have a shot in my own environment. So after seeing him ridden, then having a go in the indoor, then the outdoor, and then a quick we hack up the farm track....and then some glowing references from my RI and YO to the owners, I think I may possible (everyone please keep fingers crossed) be in with a chance. :D :D

I've been so excited about today that last night I hardly slept - which meant I was up at stupid o'clock to get organised, pack a picnic breakfast for everyone (danishes, pancakes, bacon rolls, the works!).

So now I'm ready for a sit down with a book on the sofa and a snoooooze....

I don't have a horse, so i'm catching up on house work- oh the excitement!

You are not alone i have spent the last two hours ironing, managed to burn my arm accidentally yet again, and my OH decided to spill peculated coffee all over the cream carpet so i have that to vanish away.

I have been outside though and clipped the dog up :)

As it was both Lacey's (the horse monkeybum and I share) and my birthday we went out for a hack while monkeybum exercised dog. Lovely weather. Lacey quite happy to plod as she had xc session yesterday. Lacey was 5 today. Monkey to cook for me tonight. Sat with can of Pledge in one hand but typing at same time!!

I went for a fab hack this morning and am now trying to motivate myself to go and sort my pigsty.....I mean bedroom out  :p

Been out for a 1hr hack on my gorgeous girl who is coming back into work after a tear in her DDFT. Still on box confinement but being ridden every day and doing so well. Have to excuse her when she gets a bit giddy when she sees other horses in fields and they happen to run about. We have a bit of a boing then she remembers Im on her back. What a good girl after nearly 12 months inside.

Been sitting in my boys field for two hours, watching to see how he gets on with his new mates at our new yard - and a mini shetland is the boss of the herd !!! Then went for a dog walk, and back to field, all calm. Thank goodness !

I've been at the yard all morning in the sunshine. My friend had two horses to hack so I took Chilli with her & her first one then did some schooling in the outdoor whilst she swapped horses & took Chilli back out with her & the second horse.

Now I'm off to Ewood Park for the football, hopefully Blackburn'll beat Chelsea. Then I'llgo back to the yard to bed Chilli down.

Yesterday had a 2 hr hack and today had to do chores with OH; we have been putting off doing till now, namely, cleaning smelly bum dogs posterior (he is very old, and not to go into details needs some maintenance in that direction, the dog not OH!) Next up, second vile task, removing a revolting load of flies that have set up residence in the attic.

Chores done, then had to clean tack which got soaked during hack. Finished that and will soon be going to yard to pooh pick and feed! Deep joy!

Well I still cant ride my horse yet...been off work since late last August! So I have been and bought some stuff to have a go at growing some simple veg this year...tomatoes, corgettes, lettuce and spuds...all potted up now...fingers crossed they all grow and prduce something!!!
Will be doing some cob web hoovering in my lads stable later when I go to feed him...how exciting!

well took my daughter to norton heath this morning (bs) went clear in first round (90cm) but had a pole in jump off and came 7th - would have been 2nd without the pole down!

Going to see alice and wonderland, tidyed house up and have done food shopping. Now just reading the paper and chilling until cinema tonight.

I have an excuse for being lazy though - cleared out two stables yesterday of everything so about 8 wheelbarrow loads and then did a ten hour shift in the bar i work in until 2.30am and it was stupidly busy........normally its busy but not like last night!!

Aching alot today! :(

Did some tidying and cleaning tack also jumped both horses. One is off to a Stephen Hadley clinic on Tuesday and the other one hasn't jumped since 2007 so really pleased with both! I really love my horses on a day like today!!
