Another little step down the road, but Chancer who is now rising 4 was ridden by my instructor for the first time on Saturday.

So far he has only ever been ridden by me and a couple of teenage girls so to take a man was another big step. My instructor is not that big, but obviously weighs more and has long legs.

Chancer went like a dream. My instructor said he really likes him and rode him for 10 mins, working at a nice walk on the bit. I now am fairly happy that when he will be ridden by judges later he seems to accept different without a fuss.

I finished with a 10 min solo hack through a very flooded bridleway which he did without a problem even though in some parts of the water was well over his fetlocks, he has only done puddles to date.

I am so proud of him - I image it is a bit like seeing your child starting "big school".

That`s great Theresa, what a star! You can tell by his whole out look on life that he is going to do well in the showing world. (not that i know much about the showing world) But you can put most of that down to you and the way that you have started him, so again well done! Hope my big man is keeping you on your toes!
