Sucking lice!

Hi everyone,

At first I thought it was a few baby ticks, but after multiplying I have worked out my ponies have lice! They are about 2-3mm and mostly on their face and neck, going about their general blood sucking business.

So - best/most effective treatment for these kind of lice?

Deosect. But do be sure to follow the instructions, particularly the dilution rate, wear gloves and don't spray in the wind. Not cheap but goes a long way. Treat once and then again 14 days later to get all the just hatched little blighters.
