My horse (15hh 5yr) has always travelled very well for the last 18months we have had him in our ifor williams trailer. Usually travels on his own, but very occasionally have another horse coming with who he knows well. All this has been no problem until last wednesday, travelled the 2 together, my horse got in a complete stress/sweat and a lot of clonking. Then 2 days later took him on his own and same problem, and looks like he is collapsing- cant move his hind legs to support himself round corners then sort of falls into the partition.

Rest of the time is fine

Took him out today with no partition and was fine- a bit hesitant to load unsurprisingly but nothing major.

Anyone had this problem?? Trainer said maybe a back problem, and not so easy to shift his weight??
Ahhhh not sure what to do!

Very long sorry, be great if anyone can help out

Had exactly the same problem in an Ifor, she was fine without a partition though witht he full lenght breach bars.
I bought an Equitrek which she does travel better in but still gets stressy if she doesnt have a big space.

had exactly same problem with my mare - was fine for about 1 year then I think she must've slipped on a big grass poo , her back travelling boots slipped and now won't travel unless I have full breach bars or as an alternative just fix back part of split partition to far side so she has full space at back. Also know 2 others with exactly same problem.
full bars aren't daft money - mine were £60 plus the VAT last year - all ifor stockists have them.

Thanks for that, have actually got full bars already, as old horse had got used to the luxury of a nice big lorry and refused to get in small trailer space!!

i have gotthe samer problem with two of mine in my ifor. one of them even lay down in the trailer. i put it down to the spring suspention but not sure. they both load perfectly and travel great on there own with full breach bars just a bit of a pain that you can only go own your own.

I've had the same problem with my 14.2hh in a ifor 505, collapsing down onto hind legs, when I travelled him on his own with the back partition moved over he was fine, when I tried to travel with 2 mega problems! anyone have any answers? Going to get a horse whisper out as I give up!
