My horse (who is on working livery) has suddenly gone headshy today. Obviously I am not around everyday to see if anything has happened to him but I do trust the yard staff when they say they haven't seen anything to cause it. I have the vet coming tomorrow, but I was just wondering if anyone else had experiences of this and what it turned out to be?? I'm thinking it might be teeth or he has knocked his head on something...but it is completely out of character for him to be like this. Any suggestions?

:)

Could i be flies. I was shocked today when I got close to my horse. She had loads of tiny flies in her ears. I had to really clean her ears out. At first I couldn't see them & she kept shaking her head. It's just a thought. I hope your horse is OK, I know you are worring.

Could be! I have noticed a lot around recently and he has very fluffy ears so you wouldn't be able to tell easily if he had any bites etc in them. I'm sure its nothing too serious :)

Well the vet came this morning and he has a big bump on his head! Not sure how they missed it? But hes off work for a week so hes pretty happy :-)
