Hi I'm mainly a lurker but I'm hoping you knowledgeable lot can help me.

I have an 11 light weight cob type mare, who I mainly hack with do the odd fun ride. She has always been exactly as described and I've had her 2 years. She has always been great to hack, a true happy hacker, go anywhere past anywhere sort 100% in all traffic.

For the last few weeks she has become spooky and wary especially with traffic, shying away. Could this be down to the spring grass? In winter we moved to another yard which used to be a dairy farm. Could this rich spring grass affecting her?

She has never reacted like this to the grass before. Could it be the change of yard and richer grass? She has gone from bombproof in traffic to spooky and shying

If you haven't already, feed her 25g of magnesium oxide a day. Spring grass is reputedly low in magnesium.

Dairy farms are well known for this and for causing sensitivity in barefoot horses.
