It's not a steroid cream as you can buy it from any shop, not over the counter.
Just looking through the ingredients on a pot the only thing I can think that could be banned is Benzyl Benzoate.

That's correct & that's why it's on the banned list.

However if you;ve been using it for mud fever or something I wouldn't worry about competing at your local RC /PC type events !!

but it's great for using on small cuts and other things like that, why would it be banned?! how could that help to improve performance..?! crazy!

How silly, it is the do all remedy for most things, including babys bums.

Ridicualous, perhaps we need a petition to get it off thebanned list :S

Personally I think its the most vile stuff out. It makes a horrid sticky mess, its impossible to remove with scrubbing and its the one thing all my horse react badly too.

Yup defo should be banned.

I think it is fantastic stuff, I put it on all cuts, mudfever and even on a small sarcoid which over the summer has all but disappeared because I have put it on everyday, it also keeps the flies off every cut - it is brilliant stuff!

I don't care if it is banned, that is just rubbish!

Thanks guys, I made a passing comment today about stocking up as my boy always gets mudfever and I was told it was a banned substance!! I am always cautious of banned products, not that we are planning to enter hickstead next year!! Thanks for clearing that one up, knew I could rely on you all x

QR- I'm shocked. Sudocream is great for nicks and the likes of rubbed withers!

.
It's the only thing i know that clears up my horses rubbed withers quickly.

It's not actually licensed for use on horses, but it's certainly in my first aid kit and accepted by vets as a treatment (but they can't prescribe it). I can't imagine that using a blob on a cut would show up on a test, but there are many 'banned substances' that simply do not make sense to me!

It's also fantastic if your armpits react badly to a waxing. I had to raid the horsey first aid kit for three nights running.
