Horse seems to be slightly quieter than normal, has had a bit of discharge from his nose for a week now, but nothing major. Coughs once a day but again, just a small one, nothing too bad. Also noticed today a bit of swelling along his tummy towards his sheath, supposedly something to do with the lymph system, well thats what it feels like.

I thought he maybe had a virus of some sort, what do you think?

Quite tempted to get some bloods done to make sure, but whats the best treatment if it is?

Thanks

Rest and time. I think when mine got a bad virus our vets gave us this amazingly bright green powder. Cost a small fortune admittedly but they feed it to the racehorses when they get ill. Vet advised us to use it to boost his immune system as it was his second virus in six months. Will try look up the name somewhere.

rest get some immu plus from global herbs to boost his inmun system to fight the virus and get him a respitary lick to sooth his lungs and nose to help with the discharge coz it will clear him out!

rest as said also echinesea( sorry for spelling of it ) from local health shops which will help boost immune system and a touch of normal human cough mixture if no different in a week or so contact your vet
