Yes aren't they. When I was a child, my next door farming neighbour bred them, I have loved them since. A good feature, would that Countryfile would also feature the Cleveland Bay.

I have a fabulous book on the breed that I picked up in a second hand store (I trawl second hand stores for any horsey books). Wonderful breed, I have always admired then and found this book enthralling. It's called Pulling Punches;

Long suffering and reluctantly horsey OH saw the Suffolk Punches and said he would have one as a pet/to show in a heartbeat. I remember liking them since a small girl when I had a plastic model one for my livery stables..I may even still have it somewhere.
