Husband thinking of learning to ride. We have the perfect horse and the perfect instructor but he would like a book to explain basic terms etc so he understands what people are talking about!! Any ideas??

Complete Horse Riding Manual, written by William Micklem. Publisher 'DK' (Dorling Kindersley ltd).
Fantastic book starting from the basics, right up to competition - First thick section is the 'Beginner Rider'.
You may also find quite a bit in there for yourself.
I bought if for my neice and was so impressed I kept it.
See reviews on Amazon.....

Was going to suggest the Heather Moffett book as Amanda. It was so easy to understand for an adult beginner like me.
