The lovely lady who I rent my yard from wants to plant me some trees along one edge of the field- on the other side of the fence- to give the horses more protection and to shield the field from the road. Most of the hedging is hawthorn but there is a long gap which she wants to fill in.
Suggestion please for something that will grow fairly thick, but obviously isnt poisonous- it won't be actually in the field but will be reachable by the horses.
Thanks oh green-fingered ones.
