So with the cancellation of Badminton I still have a huge shopping list and some time off work… among the things I need are a new hat (was hoping to get a Champion fitted), bridle, new joddies and some saddle cloths.

Can anyone recommend any good tackshops in the southwest area that have reasonable prices? I’m Bristol based but happy to travel up to about an 1hr each way.

Another vote for Wadswick. Not really cheap but don't think mega expensive either - you could check out their website to get an idea. They do have a good selection though and carry a lot of stock. Also has a decent cafe so you can stop and scoff if you need a shopping break.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show should be on at the beginning of May. They always have a good shopping village :0)

north somerset show is on bank holiday monday at north wraxall:) if the weather is half decent we're thinking of going there, Showjumping and some show classes should give me daughter something to smile about and :)some of the trade stands are nice, got a nice carved horses head there last year:D
for shopping got to be Wadswick, or the old dairy saddlery out past Calne, they always have some good bargains:)
