After ordering 4 pairs if breeches and not liking any, I'm wondering what the hell people wear for summer?
Desperately seeking a pair of lightweight summer breeches, or nice denim ones which aren't too heavy. Also I hate the 'full seat' breeches, I like a plain bum but they're impossible to find.
Any suggestions welcome!

after a recommendation on here I bought some Olympus breeches from sportsdirect-£12, cotton, no seat (no leg patches either), lightweight and think they are great tbh.

I still wishe I had stocked up on Dublin sunbury ones-they were fab for summer.

Equitech do a brilliant pair of lightweight pull-on jods. Very thin. Wore them hacking in blistering heat in Greece. No pocket on them though.

I got a pair of lightweight jods in Decathlon for about £35, they have mesh panels to keep you cool and so far I really like them.

I'm a Kerrits convert........... never thought I'd say it, but yes I am!! They're fantastic, fit like a glove, and even look nice on too! Getting hold of them isn't easy in this country though - and if you buy some from a US buyer and then import them over here (which is what I've just done, bought a job lot of three pairs!!) you'll get stung pretty badly for import/customs duty, I've just had to stump up an eye-watering £34:(:(:( Ouch. BUT it was still cheaper - only just! - than buying from outlets over here having said that.

Performance Equestrian have the Irideon summer riding tights on their website; haven't tried them but they look nice, and are what all the endurance people are buying. Mebbe worth a try?
