Looking for something lighter and cooler to ride in. The Rugged breeches fit me best as I have a smallish waist and a biggish bum. Definitely a curvy shape rather than long and slim (I wish!). But all the Rugged styles are made of pretty heavy material so hot to wear in this weather. I'm too old for riding tights/pull on styles. Looking for something with a zip fastening. Needs to have a fair amount of Lycra as I have puny legs and some styles are baggy at the knee on me.

Any suggestions gladly received. TIA.

Kerrits are lovely & cool.

But (word to the wise) make sure you're buying them from a UK source as I was stung badly a few years back when I bought a pack of three via eBay from the US (where they are manufactured) thinking I was getting a bargain - and I was badly stung by Customs/Import duty. Ouch.

So be careful where you buy them would be my advice.

You won't get any better for summer riding tho', honest.
