My TB wasn't clipped this winter and was kept lightly rugged and roughed off due to being off work. She's still not moulted all her winter coat out. A few people have commented that their horses seem to be clinging on to their winter woolies too.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

my welsh d is hanging onto his coat, such a woose

prince has pretty much got all his summer coat, just a few wispy bits left. he has gone from dark browny/bay to orange,

sooooo frustrating, I'm dying to get out showing but looks like I've got 2 different halves of 2 bay horses stuck together she's got her summer coat through from the area behind the saddleand on her quarters/ hindlegs but from the saddleareaforwards she's still woolly

We have the only Welsh C that looks like a leopard! He still has patches of winter coat that look a different colour on his sides and bum

Little Weshie has lost her winter coat on the non-mane side of her neck but still got half of it the other side under her mane. Most of the rest apart from behind the saddle has gone. The rest of her winter coat is on all my jumpers, coats, in the car, everywhere else!

Funny I was thinking just the same this eve as I was defluffing George who was also not clipped. His neck and shoulders are ok, but his bum is still pretty hairy.

Mine was clipped out except legs and head, he still has a very prominent clip line on his hindlegs (front less obvious) and is still losing shorter hairs from his body.

I don't blame them for holding on to their coats given the weather.

My Welshie has lost all his now...just the scurf to go!!! But I am waiting for it to warm up before I get the jet wash out!!
