Summer Feeding

Hi all,

Just a general post really. I know lots of people leave their horses out 24/7 in the summer so just wondered if your feeding routines change?

ie do you..... Reduce feed? Change Feed? Add feed/supplements??

Mine live out 24/7 in the summer on good grazing so I always just give a balancer. However because Jamin lost so much weight this winter, I am going to carry on as normal and see how we go.

Mine just gets cut down to one small feed a day at the mo (she has just gone out onto the new fields) so has had a feed cut but 2/3 really. I keep an eye on her weight/energy levels and will adjust accordingly She is just on basic rations for vits and oil really!!

mo has same feed as the winter but less of it and i add his supplement for his pollen allergy x
