I know a little premature but after the write off that was last summer and the seemingly unending winter I thought all our little horsey souls needed a lift now summer is in sight?
What are your Hints and tips?
Heres a few of mine to get started.
* Put horse wormers in the fridge the night before, it mutes the smell and taste of them so they are easier to administer.
* Buy cheap microfibre cloths from your local supermarket to use as stables rubbers, they lift dust out of coats and remove excess grease.
* When bathing your horse, put cotton wool in their ears, it stops water getting in them while washing the face, forelock and top of the mane.
* For brittle hooves disolve a sachet of gelatine in warm water and add it to one of your horses feeds daily.
* If showing indoors use shoe polish rather then hoof oil the surface wont stick to it.
* To keep quarter marks in place use a little hair spray to set your design.
