summer ideas?

well being as though its wayy too hot to ride, and everyone has probably already bathed for the 20th time this month, so what is there else to do?
has anyne got any ideas on what to spend our time doing?
i have a few
cleaning the water troughs
poo picking :(
and just good old fashoined water fights :D
 
grooming
cleaning tack and boots
tidying mane and tail etc
disinfecting stable and grooming kit

groundwork with horses always a good one

watching and reading all horsey of course
 
Go for a picnic with some friends in the fields...even take your horses if you can find a nice spot where you can all be relaxed and safe.

Might be a bit warm but if there are enough of you then rake your school so your surface isn't all pushed up to the corners/fence.

Go on a rag pick and work on your tan whilst spending some time with your horses in he fields - remember to wear gloves and throw or burn the rag don't put it on the muck heap.

Take your horse for a walk in-hand instead of riding.

Organise a yard BBQ...if everyone chips in with a pack of sausages or burgers then it won't cost you a fortune.

Enjoy the rest of the summer while it lasts :D
