What do you all wear for riding in the summer? I'm always so concious of my "mum tum" so I don't want anything clingy - I'd love to be able to wear baselayers all day long but only feel comfy If i have a gilet or something over the top with them! So looking for something a bit more forgiving/baggy/flattering!

I do quite like the sleeveless baselayers - i got a couple of aubrion ones which aren't too bad but all the le mieux stuff seems sooo clingy!

Primark do sports t shirts for very little money and they are brilliant. Nice and loose but made of a lightweight wicking type fabric so you don’t get all gross and sweaty. I wear those for riding, and basic oversized T-shirts for yard work.

I don't buy riding-specific tops. In the summer I wear cotton shirts (short sleeved or 3/4 length sleeves) or collared t-shirts/polo shirts. The cotton shirts are definitely the coolest IMO, and can be bought from loads of different places at a price and pattern/design to suit you. Definitely avoid polyester ones though, it is worth paying a little more for cotton. If you don't like ironing then linen would be an excellent alternative, but it tends to be more expensive than cotton.

Another vote for the Under Armour tops. Also for smarter wear i find the Ariat sleeveless polos good as more of an "air tech" material so not clingy, also a tad longer, can always size up

Polo shirts for me mainly. Ariat do some nice long sleeved thin tops like the sun stopper that aren’t too clingy.

The Rydale polos aren't fitted or clingy.

I bought one a size or two up and I wear it, and a Horseware t-shirt- also a size too big - all summer.

I wear non branded hoodies in winter and cotton T shirts in summer. I've just picked up a few more from next for £7 each.

I have a wobbly tummy and don't like it on show. I also hate anything tight round my upper arms.

I just wear loose fitting teeshirts. I got some of them from market stalls or I've also bought some from charities - most recently I got one from Healing Hands Network, who I volunteer for in Bosnia. I wear them for yoga as well.

Useful post. My problem is I want sleeveless and if I size up they are too long and low and I'm a bit old for the 'showing a bit of bra' look. Childrens have mostly got pictures or something. My last buy was about 4 years ago and I had to shorten them all at the shoulder to lift them. I'm 5'2 and would normally buy an 8 but buy 10 to make sure they are loose and cool. Also want cheap! Just ordered some from Amazon, will report back....... I like the look of the short sleeve ones suggested by @Penguin_Toes when I need more short sleeves
