Whats everyone wearing on their feet at the moment?

Finding my muck boots too hot but still mucking out a straw bed, as horse is on box rest!

Trainers are ok but get straw in them!

Any recommendations?

Thanks :)

I am living in my dublin short boots, the ones with the zipped front> They take me from work to walking the dogs, mucking out to riding. I only take them off to put my slippers on! very comfy once ankles bedded in and some good deals around on them too

Ive got these, http://www.equitector.com/product_detail.cfm?cat=2&product=14

On my 5th pair now, keep the feet cool in summer and warm in winter, each pair has lasted me a good couple of years, and I do the horses in them, walk the dogs, everything, they do keep my feet cool in summer (Im in Spain) and warm in winter (as it does get flipping freezing here in winter) Ive never had a pair go on the sole, like they have on other brands.

I had some of those and they didn't last a year - and the zips got harder and harder to do up. I now have these http://www.countrywidefarmers.co.uk/pws/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=16430 from Countrywide, really waterproof up to the lace holes, and comfy - I tend not to ride in them though they are a bit wide. Cheap enough, but if you are buying on line, be aware they come up big, mine are 4, although I normally take size 5

poop! not many of my utility boots last much longer than a year- my ariat bromonts had flappy soles after 7 months and looked years old so perhaps i would be better looking at cheaper options, these days your probably paying for the name and not the quality but 1 month in these are still looking good:)

Thanks Everyone.

Will have a look at whats been suggested.

Did have some nice country boots but the sole came away after 6 months! Hate my feet getting hot! Any recommendations on socks also?

Don't fancy riding in my leather boots with no socks! lol

Mountain Horse-I have the Peaks atm but think they have stopped making them (shame really) but have had the Riders before now-generally get a couple of years out of them if not mucking out in them too much-its the ammonia that kills boots.

I just switch to standard cotton socks in the summer, rather than long socks. just not silly trainer socks as they slip down and rub.

I need to buy some more boots. I agree mountain horse are good- had a pair for years. Recently I have been wearing trainers but agree you get bedding in them! I do occasionally wear walking boots, but the pair I have are a bit tight.
