I skived off work today as I have so much holiday to use up and went to Summerhouse for my first go at BSJA on Dolly. I had to do the 1.05 as that was the smallest open they had. It is a bit pathetic as in the new year I was quite happily jumping 1.10s on Olympic but don't jump for 4 months and get a new horse and you lose all your omph.
Anyway, it was 2 phase and the first half I was a bit sticky but Dolly helped me out a bit and we went clear and onto the jump off, jumped the first the 2nd was an option of either a 2 foot high water jump or a 1.15 skinny style next to it. So I cut inside and jumped the water on bit of an angle, I did actually land in the water
, but it didn't matter as it wasn't being judged as a proper water jump, I then turned a bit tight into the double and had the first part down, left everything else up. So we finished with 4 faults in 34 seconds, the winner won on 38 seconds
why didn't I go a bit wider into the double??? I did come 6th as the fastest four faults.
I decided to come home then as I was a bit pants in the first round and thought she might struggle a bit more in a 1.15 to help me out, so I'll leave that one until I feel a bit more confident. She is a saint, and worth putting up with when she is being special.
