It does get everywhere though, even when applied with gloves, or maybe that's just me.

No, it's not just you!

It is brilliant, though ... it does exactly what it says on the tin, for one: acts as an extra layer of skin. I bought a small tub summer before last and I've barely used a quarter of it. Mine also has pink skin on either side of the top of his dock and even though I don't pull his tail so he keeps some protective hairs there, it can still burn.

No problem. Been using it for a week now and her sunburn scabs and sores disappeared after a couple of days. She doesn't particularly like it going on bit once it's on it stays on!
Been using it on her legs which also got burnt for the first time ever and it's really helped there.
