Looks like it’s all going well.Terriers have their difficult reputation but in the right pack they just fit straight in.
I hear so many bad stories about ( in my case)schnauzers being aggressive, yappy dogs...my girl was refused by all the puppy buyers who came to see the litter..she was declared to be the most difficult, growling dervish of the pack...yet with a bigger sweet dog ( my sweet st poodle)she fitted straight in.
Im so looking forward to see the pack walks with your gang...little Colin will be in his element.

I wouldn't have another JRT given, let alone pay the crazy prices being asked currently but they fitted into our pack of bigger dogs with no trouble at all.
One of the Labs was disappointed in them as she wanted to (s)mother them and after the the first 24 hours, when they found their feet, they wouldn't co-operate.
They were not snappy dogs at all, just incredibly hard work - they took more effort than any Lab/Rottweiler/other breed that we have ever had, they were always finding new ways to escape and couldn't really see the point of house-training. They were always cheerful though.

OP, I am so glad that your 2 terrierists seem to be settling down together.

I think George just has to register his objections but will pretty quickly settle and maybe even relish having a sidekick! Our older, grumpy boy Hector secretly loves Herbie and when he does have a grump at Herbie, Herbie usually just gives him a kiss on the nose which completely takes the wind out of Hector's sails and he stops immediately!

I'm sure they will work it out - ours always have both our own and family members JRTs. We started a trend in the family some 14 years ago so there have been and still are a few JRT and JRT x and they are fine when we get togther.
PaS I agree they are very hard work as pups. I had forgotten how hard until we got the latest one. She is definitely not convinced about house training. We are 95% there but she will pee in the house as soon as the garden unless I put her out every 2 or 3 hours and she is 11 months. She can go right through the night though as no one wants to wet their own bed do they!
