hi my horse last summer got a very sunburnt nose but quickly cleared it up which then he wore a full fly mask you know the ones that cover their nose and wore a factor 50 sun cream... but he also got burnt legs which i used udder cream smothered over his leg to clear it up but also to prevent get burnt any more.
just wondering if anyone else's horse/pony suffers with sunburn and how do you prevent it

Castle tends to get sunburn on his nose during the summer as he has a pink muzzle during that time, I put plenty of sun cream on and he's fine

alfie gets sunburn in the summer, i put sudocrem on his nose as it is so thick it blocks out the sun. he has never had a burnt nose since! and i only apply it once a day!

My boy has a pink nose, I just smother him in sunlotion and he is fine but a few times it has been so cloudy and I never thought anything of it and he has come in all scabby so I use sudocream(sp?) if he gets it and it clears up so easily.

My old lad gets a sun burnt nose. I slap him in Sudocream.

Like the others have said it is so thick it blokes the sun and stays on all day.

He also gets an irritation on his nose and feet from Buttercups, so again he gets slapped with the good old Sudocream.

I woudn't get near his nose with a sented suncream, even if they are not ment to be sented!
