Sunburn

My horse seem to be sunburt he is coloured with very pink skin what do you all do for this?? he is burnt over his back and up his neck I have ordered him a UV rug. What else can I do for him???

Keep him in out of the sun?

Make sure he has plenty of shade in the field he is kept in. Also get some horse sun cream for future protection, you can also get a soothing balm for bad sun burn.

Often sunburn is really photo-sensitivity through buttercups or similar. I would make sure your field is free of weeds, and also put on a fly mask with nose cover.
