Just a wee fun post from me and a chance for anybody else to boast about any achievements you and your dogs have had this week, or embarrassments from your little darlings :p

I'm going to boast :p (he was toast last week, but we got over that :p)

Had a great day at club today, B did a very good track, just have to work on obedience at the end, we had a blast during group obedience (trainer was shouting out numbers instead of commands, so 1=right turn, 2=left turn, 3=about turn and we had to do it all in double pace...not great with a hangover!!!) and he came second in a little agility race (we could have won but he turned the wrong way out of the tunnel and I had to peg it after him and grab him :p) and she wasn't too arsey with his nemesis, the doberman!

Your turn!!!

Me, I wanna boast, have a fab week training the collie thats possibly going to be shipped to RANA, he is a typical collie and have picked things up very quicky which is fab, except he now know going on the lead and is coming up with cunning plans to avoid it, but otherwise he is pretty fab and has few of the annoying collie herding habits:D

Good boy bodo:D

I just want to boast, not for any real reason but because my beautiful girl is still not allowed off the lead apart from swimming, but she's just a beautiful, kind, gentle, generally superb stinky mutt and I love her.

Oooooh I have a boast!!

I can now remove the pile of boxes from the bottom of the stairs (Not allowed to fit a babygate) and Betsy dog just stays downstairs!! No running upstairs and pooping all over the place.... I'm so proud.

Simple pleasures eh?

Toast from me - I have spent months. Months. Trying to teach this dog a 'speak' command. Half an hour every single day playing Youtube videos of howling dogs and wolves, going 'awooooo!' myself, leaping on her with treats and praise on the rare occasion she made as much as a peep - but no, nothing. Zip, zilch, nada.

Until a couple of days ago, that is. Quite suddenly, literally overnight, she has found her voice and now she will NOT BLARDY SHUT UP AAAAARGHGH.

"Daxy, get off the sofa."

"AWOOO-OOO!"

"Daxy, come here."

"A-ROO-ROOOOO!"

"DAXY, SHUT UP!"

"AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

:o :D

My dog tried to steal a man's walking stick today:eek: He did this in order to make the man drop the tennis ball which he was carrying for his own dog:mad:

I am going to make him into a pyjama case:mad::mad::mad:

Thank god the guy saw the funny side!

A boast post from me! Tysie had his first training session today, and apart from howling constantly whenever the trainer guy was trying to speak he behaved really well, and I'm now very excited about our next sesh! (cc I'll pm you a proper update on this tomorrow, but I'm very happy with my t dog today! :) )
The we went on a nice long walk with the lovely blue and tysie recalled perfectly (with a little help from blue) every time, and ran and ran for hours! It was lovely. He's still bouncing off the Walls at home tonight, but I forgive him as he's work very hard today at being good!

After going out 'for one drink' on Friday night I rolled in at 2am and my boy was asleep on the couch. Didn't jump at the door when he heard me, didn't chew anything and nothing seemed mysteriously 'rearranged'. V. proud of him. :D

Me, me! After yesterday's off-lead experience, I was on my own and pooing my pants today.

I let them off and walked away: they followed, they came back without being asked (until a young bitch appeared and they were running round and round and round with her!). I then let them go up the path with big dog and they were again superb, straight back when I asked. So chuffed with them!

Willie is toast for being quiet all day yesterday except for the time when I am in the middle of taking the timed portion of an at-home school exam. How does he time it so well the darned cur?

Serious toast here. Someone is feeding Evie large quantities of blue smarties I swear. Only a week or two ago I was smuggly think how settled she was for a 2 year old, but recently I can't seem to find the off button. No matter how much exercise she has she wants more, when she is not being walked or playing ball in the field she is prodding poor Buffy to get her to play, or alternatively belting me with a paw to get my attention. I do actually think I know the reason, in the warmer weather I have the back door open whenever I am at home so she can run in and out, but now it is cold and wet it is shut, so when she is confined indoors she has to find alternative entertainment, which is annoying her Auntie Buffy and I.
Just to prove its not all bad, small boast, she is really enjoying her tracking just trying to get her to calm down and think now.;)

Both of mine have been suspisciously well behaved:confused: - apart from St Sweeps attempted raid on the flapjacks......:rolleyes:;):D

St Sweep has hurt himself:( - can't work out where but I think its a back leg - one day hooning around next day sitting quietly, not really moving and looking pathetic:rolleyes:. Vet can't find anything so think maybe he has tweaked something - so lots of rest, warmth and cuddles for him.:rolleyes::D

Not that he milks these situations........;):rolleyes::D:D:D

Spudlet I know I shouldn't but am PMSL!!:D:D:D

Toast - Poppy was spayed last Monday. She's supposed to be keeping quiet, not jumping etc, on lead walks, the usual. Will she bloody listen??? We're keeping her on the lead, but it doesn't stop her leaping up and chewing the yard spangles ears, or running up the stairs as soon as we take her buster collar off so she can eat/drink. In fact, the buster collar doesn't even stop her jumping on the sofa - it took her a few days, but she's sussed it. AAARGH, why won't she do what's good for her??? Constant supervision from now until Thursday (stitches out day). At least she's small enough to stuff under your arm :D

Cayla - glad Dippy's behaving himself :) Be warned, OH has now registered on here so please ignore him :D

Hecty - boast :) He was fab on friday, only had to keep him on lead in the maize, rest of the drives he was pretty steady and I was really pleased with how he worked in the woods.

Pads - toast  Took them down to the field for a late night pee at 1am this morning and the disgusting little runt ate some dog poo  I've never known him do that before, he then proceeded to keep chomping and licking his lips *vomit* guess who didn't sleep on the bed after that? :D

Same dog
Toast- having decided she can't go on our lawn she has now decided she won't go on the patio so will only go on the ally beside the house! And at night only if I go too. So I was last night standing in my wellies at midnight coaxing a dog outside.
Boast- On walks she is now brave enough to go the full 9m (length of long line) into the woods and bracken and not need us to be next to her all the time. And we are sought of getting recall on the lead if we are the most interesting thing around.

Toast!

While I was out today (for all of, oh, 2 hours ) he broke into the Forbidden Room and destroyed:

A shoe
Some post
A hairdryer

And he ate my Hula Hoops! Unforgivable.

He's been really good recently as well, I should have seen it coming

Boast! Took Daisy Dog beating on satuday and she was AMAZING! :D Did everything I asked her to, and more! I was really really proud of her, which sounds very soft, but we bred her our self from our lovely old bitch Poppy who sadly passed away this march and has left a big hole in the family as she was the most kind, loving, beautiful girl you could wish to meet! I had a lovely (well respected!) lady approach me and say she would be proud to have one like D which made me :D :D :D but also a litle :') because I would have loved for Poppy to have been able to join in the party.
So there we are, my very self indulgent boast!

Boast= Took Winston out on a hack with my horse. He was brill, he loves it and my horse, Mo was fab putting up with Winnie dashing about in the undergrowth leaping backwards and forwards over ditches, appearing from nowhere etc. Only downside was winston covered in sticky balls (does anyone else call these sticky willies or am i just strange?)
