I would like to know more info on how the Sunshine Tour works - mainly interested in showjumping.

How many shows do you have to participate in to (hopefully) qualify and make it to Hickstead?

Hi. You need to place 6th or higher in a qualifying show so only 1 show needed to participate ?. It is pretty easy to do especially if you go to a quieter show. I hope this helped X

it has - thank you!

Doesn't this make the final class huge if they have 4 people per show qualifying?

If you don't place in your first qualifyer, can you then enter again to hopefully place? Or can you only enter one show?

I am not sure about the size of the final class. I think it is pretty big but they are able to accommodate for it. You can do as many qualifiers as you want if you don't place. As long as they're within the qualifying period. Good luck!

The qualifier rules and venues can change slightly from year to year so always check them. You can do as many qualifying classes as you like but you need to make sure you get the qualifying form filled for the class(es) you want to enter.

Once you’ve qualified you need to register your qualification online then you’ll get a qualification number. You still have to make an entry which opens in August and pay the appropriate entry fees. Numbers of entries are restricted although still high numbers so enter as soon as the entries open to ensure you get in.

I’ve done showing there three times and it’s a lovely show that really feels like a proper Championship but still remains friendly.

Good luck!
