Hello all,
The rain has finally stopped, which means the flies are out! Anyone else struggling with hoardes of beasties? I was out in the paddock with my two the other night for a bit, and killed 3 bot flies in half an hour! Also had these weird, massive flies about (deer flies? Huge!), horse flies are still about and en masse, and the usual black flies... Red top fly traps strategically placed, I've given up with sprays, and ordered rugs, masks and leg wraps today. I prefer naked horses, but needs must I think. They are both being very overreactive to anything buzzy or crawly on them (I can't blame them!)... On vigilant fly strike watch with the sheep too, despite them being doused with Crovect... If I could control the slugs in the garden too, I'd be happier! How are you all managing?
