Just back from another fantastic hack on Smokey the Connie. He’s so gorgeous. Just right. Gas gun bird scarer really spooked him and all he did was tuck his bum under. Bless his heart.

I just did Kelsall Farm Ride. My horse is awesome too. Great horses and happy times in the sunshine.

Sounds like you had a great time, Connie's seem to be great little things.
I'm loving the positive Connie posts...my younger boy is a 6 year old Connie x Cob and so far very level headed but he's just starting his ridden career and I've never had anything with pony in it before!!

I started sharing a connie in October and he is fab too. He is so good hacking it is like I have turned into a whizzy teenager (I would tend to call myself a cautious hacker generally.) Last night I went out by myself for an hour after work, up and down hills, lots of trotting and cantering, through the water jump and just had a fab time. At one point a pheasant flew up from the undergrowth about 2 m away and he just flinched a bit!
