What a great day out.

You have indeed done really well with her. I know what you mean about finding a horse who's the perfect partner and you would trust to do anything with, it's the best feeling in the world. I just wish I'd found mine when she was a good bit younger. :( You and Mally have so much to look forward to and I am with tigers_eye in agreement that you and Mally will do far far more together than you ever dreamed possible, and it will be FUN along the way! :D
 
Whoop whoop :D. I think I might be a little bossy, but obviously it works! :p

You jumped the same course as us, but they'd moved fence 4 - at Bishop it was on a dog leg and every second person sailed straight past it. Maybe just as well it was in a more obvious spot.... ;)

We'll be there for the liquid picnic. I intend to arrive quite early, though no doubt the Open won't be on until after dark :rolleyes: - perfect for those with a mammoth trek home on their own!

She is such an over grown pony, despite her size I reckon someone coming off ponies would find her so easy to ride!

Mummy Hendry, being a tough scots bird, is already up and walking! She is coming home later today, so will be back to full form soon :D

I think Hunting has done us both the world of good, although after the first day, I didn't think I would take her again! It's just cemented my trust in her so much, nothing looks particularly terrifying after jumping a couple of 5ft hedges and surviving! :D

As long as we have fun, I don't particular care what we do or where we get to, Mally has already fufilled several ambitions of mine, so really we should give up now :D
Hopalong says you're only as young as the horse you feel, and I would never in a million year have guess she was the age she was! Always thought she was 8 or 9!!

Obviously you just need to tell me what I need to do all the time, and I'll just do it, it worked this time!

Thank you, I am so lucky to have two horses that I have really felt like a team with, but Mally seems to read my mind when it comes to jumping.

Thank you, she was such a find, I'm not usually a believer in fate, but with her I can't think of any other way to describe it!

Being fluent in iPhone Autocorrect, I understood what you meant :D

I am getting better at not cocking her up too much, and even when I do, I'm getting better at making sure we have the canter to cope with it and that I don't panic, take my leg off and wait for her to stop (which she has never done. bar her two green stops at Stafford, bless her!)
 
Well done! The course looked like great fun, am regretting going BS there today instead, as the JAS looks far more inviting! Good luck at the finals, and get well wishes to your mum!

I think it was only inviting if you had a horse that suited twisty courses, can't say I would have fancied doing it on the 17.2 I ride! ;)

My Mum is doing amazingly well, she had her hip replaced a year or two ago and now her knee, all without GA! :eek: She is an honorary member of the MOBs I think! :D
