Now that I'm riding out every month or so with these guys I'm actually looking forward to some wet, windy and cold winter rides (perhaps because of the martinis they serve as much as the lovely horses provided :p ). As well as a mustard bath when I get home, I'm wondering if I should ask for some super-warm jodhs for Christmas. Being a little out of step with the practical side of the horse world, I hadn't realised that such things existed till I read about them here.
Can anyone recommend a brand? I'm tall, so they'd need to be in a long leg length.

Pikeur Lugana in fabric 81 (wind-proof, water-resistant, fleece-lined). They come in long leg length, and a selection of colours. I'm starting to feel like I've been hired by them, I push these jodhs so much on here! :o But I love mine, and they look nearly new after 2 years of nearly daily wear. Just bought a beige pair for winter shows, and hunting if I dare...

Thank you, everyone, for the list! I will investigate. The long length really helps – you should see the normal length ones I've got :o Reminds me of being an overgrown teenager and not realising that Top Shop standard wasn't long enough.

YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY :D :D :D, my Luganas finally arrived last week, and I picked them up today! Oh so fuzzy and toasty! A word of warning: they seem to fit quite snugly, so I ordered a size up from my regular Pikeur size, which is already a size up from my regular any-other-jodhs size. I'm told it's because the fabric isn't quite as stretchy as some.
