For those that wished me good luck last week, just wanted to report back that your wishes worked and that Spider was a little star yesterday.

He went to the BPSA Eastern Star show at the ILPH and for the THIRD year in a row won his classes and both the Potential Sportshorse and overall In Hand Championship. YAY!!!

I was suffering with a streaming cold and was stuggling to breathe let alone run but Spider was really chilled and perfectlly behaved.
I do have to admit to having discovered a good way of keeping up wit him though............ when trotting I hold onto his throatlash and he half carries me round! As long as I keep pedalling I don't think anyone noticed my feet weren't actually on the ground!!!

Nice one! I like the peddling in mid air mode!

I hang off the headcollars throat-latch of the big guys when unloading them, then when they bound off the ramp I just get carried along to.

For leading I sort of hitch a ride on their shoulder but it doesn't work so well so perhaps I'll have to try your technique.

People will start groaning when you turn up now

I just love this horse so much

A huge well done, he is a real credit to you!!! But I have been laughing with an image in my head of you doing one of those slow motioned runs while Spider carries you along

Thanks S.

He'll go for grading in the autumn and then we'll see.

I don't have the facilities to stand him here. I was hoping that I'd be able to take him to the EFU in Newmarket when anyone 'wanted' him but as that's closed now I've got to reconsider my options.
First and foremost he is to be my dressage horse but if he can earn a 'bit on the side' then that would be lovely. However, I don't want him to go away to stud and also I doubt that it would be financially viable anyway.
I'm guessing the best idea would be to get him 'frozen' as long as he is suitable but I'm not sure if that would put people off if he were only available frozen.
Decisions, decisions! Still, he's got to grade yet.

Many many congratulations! He is such a fabulous horse, can't wait to see you ride him.

So thats where my absolutely stinking cold came from is it? I blame you entirely

But but but........................ I didn't have it when I came up either

Its an evil one isn't it?! Don't worry though I have made sure I have infected most of west Essex!

Well done!!!!

Who will you grade him with?? AndyPandy is your man if you are looking at collecting from him without your own facilities
