Hi all :)

I was getting some advice from Spillers the other day regarding my mare who is now back in work and I wanted to get her back on her original feed (Spillers Cool Fibre) along with Allen & Page fast Fibre.

Spillers advised me to add in a General Purpose Supplement if she will be fed under the recommended ration - which she will be as is my Arab.

Soooo my question to you knowledgeable folk is which GP Supplement do you rate and slate!!

Thanks in advance

NAF general purpose supplement is good, costs about £9.00 a tub and lasts about a month. My pony is very fussy, but she happily ate it last winter.

If it is an older horse, then i think Dodson and horrel's Surelimb powder is good and very cost effective at £12 a tub and lasts just over a month. It is high in anti-oxidants which is apparently good for the older/working horse.

At the moment, im using seaweed, as i feed for barefoot. But some horses dont like the taste!

Hope that helps a bit.
