2 questions really. I moved to a new yard at the beginning of the month - that meant a further dose of wormer. Because of yard moves (RDA, owners, 1st yard with me which was closed, new yard) he's had 4 lots of Pramox in 12 months, 2 quite close together. I was suggested a month on milk thistle to support his innards post-worming. Is it a good idea?
He's a chunky horse - 15.1hh with 10 3/4in of bone. He's 13 we think and I worry about arthritis catching him eventually. He moves well at the moment (to my instructors' trained eyes) and we are starting to do a little bit of jumping with the aim of some XC this year. Would sticking him on boswellia now be helpful to keep his joints in good nick?
Horse currently gets 200ml speedibeet made up with 600ml water - about 1/3 scoop I'd guess, 1/2 mug micronised linseed and forageplus balancer.
Apologies if these are numpty questions, I'm learning! Thanks for reading
