Just had my comp horse diagnosed with arthritis of the coffin joint. It's mild & will be treated with Irap & egg-bar shoes.
Can anyone recommend any supplements that may help the condition long term?

I use blue chip dynamic and devils relief for my horse and they work really well although his srthritis is above the joint so not sure if this would make a difference.

Aviform Suppleease gold is good, especially on the buy two get third free offer. It is devilishly difficult to compare active ingredients on joint supplements and to make matters worse there is no scientific consensus on what combination of ingredients are the most effective, or even that they work at all! For example, there is no evidence that HA is absorbed by the body at all when taken orally, but a lot of brands add it in.

I did the sums on comparing %s of active ingredients on various brands (the cheaper brands, so not Cosequine, Synequine, or Newmarket). The ones that came out best for price and active ingredients were Arthriaid and Suppleaze Gold. The very best was Flexadin from Equistro but that was over my price limit.

Hope this helps.
