(Sorry if this is in the wrong thread this is my first post)
I have just recently taken on a pair of Shetland ponies. One of them is nearing 20 and has previously suffered quite badly with laminitis. She is much better now and canters round her field but is still limping quite badly on concrete. She can also be quite stiff (vet has said most likely getting old/arthritis) sometimes when hoof picking she can be reluctant to pick up and bend.
I have bought her a protective boot to wear on the concrete to help her but just wondered if any of you would reccomend any supplements for her for the prevention/help with risk of laminitis and also to help her with the stiffness. Or if you don’t think they are worth it?
She is keeping her weight balanced, regular farrier and is on restricted grazing and has a stable if things get too bad.
Thanks
