Supplements sticking to feed bucket?

This is probably a dumb question but how do you stop supplement powders from sticking to the bottom of the feed bucket? My mare only gets a tiny token feed for mixing in her powdered balancer etc (good doer who doesn't 'need' any extra calories) - I add the powders to her small soaked feed and mix it all together, but am still finding that the minerals are building up on the bottom of the bucket. Is there a secret trick that I'm missing here?

I dont mix, just put the powder on top of a very very small feed and it goes in a mouthful and lick. The aim is for it all to go into the mouth in one go, so no dropping through onto the bucket.

That's helpful, thanks! Supplements are so expensive, I don't want any of it to go to waste.

I always used to mix my supplements, bute and feed together pre wet for the next morning and never had any issues.

But you could take out 3/4 of the feed, mix the supplements in it and line the bottom of the bowl with the 1/4 that has no supplements in it, that way the supplements won't stick to the bottom because they will lie on the 1/4 that is just feed.
