what do you use and why? its always made me curious why we all use so many different supplements, i always invetigat what i am going to use and why so i wouldn't waste money on unnessery things.

i use:-

Garlic - for my boys respiratory problems
Mint - as my girl is fussy and its what makes her happy
Oestress - without it my mare is impossible
pink powder - 1) because of the state my mare came to me in last year it was what helped her and 2) because my boy is getting old and its digestion isn't what it used to be.
 
chaste berry for moody mare
biotin for hooves (tb)
magnesium
Just started using fly free as we are being plagued
I use balancing supplement in winter will probably try pink powder to maintain weight
 
I use garlic for flys and his heart
Naf Respirator to help his little lungs when working hard
Codlavene (sp?) for his joints and coat
And sometimes itch free as he gets itchy hocks.

I use garlic to keep flies away, plus oil (don't know if that counts) for coats and joints, mine doesn't need anything else but as she's getting older and stiffer I'm considering a joint supplement for arthritis
 
Thuja tablets- sarcoids and lump and bumps
Echinacea (sp?)- immune system to help generla health

I am also going to try him on propell plus through the winter.
 
i use garlic for the flies pro feet as his feet are rubbish for an irish draught and naf respiritory cause he has copd and he cant cope living out over the winter and he struggles to get enough oxygen in the summer when its hot
 
i use

cod liver oil for joints
mint because they love it
hawthrone for my lammi prone horse to help with the circulation
nettle for lammi horse to help get of the toxins in the body
nat slim line for lammi horse so he gets all his vits and mins
naf seaweed for oldie so she get all her vit mins amio acids trace elements etc!

Seaweed for trace elements
Brewers yeast for B vits & tummy
Magnesium for feet
Global herbs Tb calmer for the idiot TB
Global herbs movefree for the idiot TB and the nice (but old) TB
Mint for the Idiot TB's tummy
Pro-biotics when worming or in times of stress
and Global herbs Black salt when they've worked hard.
