We've had loads of supplements reccomended (admittedly, often by staff at the tack shops!
) for various things, but then again, lots of people say to steer clear as they're a waste of money!
We've been told that seaweed does magical things to appearence and that garlic discourages flies!
Oh, and that cod liver makes a horse look years younger, and does wonders for the coat. I've actually seen evidence for this, but is it right to feed a vegetarian animal a fish product? The vet said that normal vegetable oil gives nearly as good results as codliver, and costs a ton less.
I bought a little thing of spearmint for Jayjay, because I'm fussy about his chronic garlic breath, but apparently that improves condition too?
So what are your experiences here
Have any wonder-supplements? Anything to steer well clear of? They generally seem over-priced, and you can get pretty much the same thing for half the price for human consumption, but is this safe?
Hahah, I'm at home alone and bored xD Didn't get to go up the stables this afternoon as I had an orthodontics appointment!
Spent all morning down there, but I usually wear gloves to do stuff, and now my arms are really tanned but I have white hands!
