Support for horses legs whilst schooling?

If you are confident about bandaging I would go for the stretch and flex type bandages that don't need any padding. My friend has these for her youngster and they offer great support and look nice too :)

There are some discussions somewhere in the vaults of HHO about the level of support offered from various bandages and boots etc...(I could be wrong) but I think its only Dalamar (sp?) boots that offer any significant level of "support" to the structure of the leg when schooling. Bandages and boots etc are generally to protect from knocks, for example I use bandages and pads because a) he is close behind, and b) we do a lateral work. I could boot the backs, but I prefer the same on all fours :)

TBH nothing will offer support for tendons, ligaments and joints. Horses are too heavy! There is plenty of data supporting this online.

Best you can do is go for a boot that offers external protection from injuries.

Unless you have somebody very knowledeable and experienced to teach you how to bandage I would stay well away from them. If put on incorrectly they can cause horrible damage.
