I went to the Surrey Hills ride today. I managed to fall off my pony for the first time!.......but still had a good time.

There was someone taking photos who got (i think) a good shot of me and naughty mare. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a copy/see the shots?????!!!!!!!

PS - I actually came off when my pony slipped and fell up one of those narrow sandy tracks with the high banks on the sides. Did anyone else have trouble with those?

My horse also slipped on one of the downhill narrow slopes. He ended up sitting on his haunches after bouncing off the banks trying to regain his footing!

Other than that, the ride was excellent. Well signposted & lovely countryside.

I can't remember seeing the photographer. I'd like to see the photos though. Also, is there a map of the route anywhere? I'm interested to know where I actually went!

Unfortunately my horse sat on my leg rather than her bum! The photographer was sitting near the beginning, by the massive brush fence (needless to say I didn't jump that one.....just the tiny fence after it!).

It would definately be nice to see where we went. Let me know if you find any info out!!!

Speaking on behalf of the organisers, I'm sorry that the narrow steep section caused some of you problems and hope that everyone and their horses are OK. We've taken this on board and will do our best to find an alternative next year.

We don't know who the photographer was (several people have asked about him). We had organised a professional but they dropped out at the very last minute. If anyone does find out who he was could they let me know on janedotwilliams@googlemail.com. Thanks.

Finally a HUGE thankyou to everyone who took part and gave so generously. Did any of you get to meet the girls from Vauxhall City Farm Pony Club who are going to benefit from the Ride? They were great kids!
