Hi All,

Please can you take the time to support my Research on the following subject:

The management of horses kept within 'dealer' yards; Perception vs Practice

There are two surveys (One for the equine industry and the other for horse 'dealers' (ANYONE THAT SELLS MULTIPLE HORSE A YEAR).

Please can you complete the survey that applies to you and share with friends.

Please DO NOT complete both surveys as only one should apply.

Thank you for the support :)

I am not sure which to complete, I have wound down recently but have bought and sold and also taken sales liveries as part of my business, technically I have been a dealer but not in the traditional sense, most of my projects stay here for rather longer than they would in most dealers yards, I will do the dealer one as I guess that will be most applicable.

I got a little way through and stopped doing it. You were asking what behavioural problems and vices I would expect to see in a dealers yard, and I would expect to see the ones horses already had which wasnt an option, there was some other questions about vet care that didnt have a sensible option either. It all seems a bit leading

I also got part way through it and thought it incredibly biased and presumptive that dealers yards were awful. My experience is that most professionals look after and produce their horses much better than private sellers. BTW I was completing the industry questionnaire and am not a dealer!

OP, you really need to pull this and have a rethink.

It appears to aim at those with an axe to grind at dealers, not those who are returning clients, not to the dealers who produce very good future equine stars, not to the dealers who maintain a good reputation.

Very skewed results are likely.
